'High School DxD' Season 3 'Born' Release Date Confirmed, Funimation To Stream Series Outside Japan

Harem and ecchi anime fans fear not. On the curtails of what some would consider lesser series of the winter anime season, "High School DxD BorN" is set to return as part of the spring 2015 anime season. While the Japanese air date was confirmed for April 4 long ago, fans outside of Japan can relax as subscription service Funimation is set to stream the series. Unfortunately Funimation did not confirm when they will air the episodes, but they will likely catch up soon.

Fans in an ANN forum were not surprised but happy that Funimation will be streaming "High School DxD Born."

"Completely expected this one. Issei and the OPPAI are back," commented Stark700.

"I honestly hope this doesn't get a broadcast dub so that the dub will turn out as best as it can be. Some of Funi's broadcast dubs haven't had the best quality, and it takes time to dub a show like this well. The first two seasons were dubbed great, and I hope the third is as well," explained ZeArNkN.

"We knew it going to happen so YES YES YES for s3 of DxD now the asking when dub & dvd-blu be ready on it," said KLAC.

Anime News Network reports that Tetsuya Yanagisawa will once again direct the series and Takao Yoshioka will handle series composition. TNK will handle the animation production. Junji Goto will once again design the characters and direct the animation.

The main Japanese voice cast for the series is as follows:
Yōko Hikasa as Rias Gremory
Yuuki Kaji as Issei Hyōdō
Ai Kakuma as Rossweisse
Ayana Taketatsu as Koneko Tōjō
Ayane Sakura as Gaspard Vladi
Azumi Asakura as Asia Argento
Kenji Nojima as Yūto Kiba
Maaya Uchida as Irina Shidō
Minami Takahashi as Kuroka
Rikiya Koyama as Azazel
Risa Taneda as Xenovia
Ryota Ohsaka as Vali Lucifer
Shizuka Itou as Akeno Himejima
Yūichi Nakamura as Sairaorg Bael

For those who are not familiar with the series, My Anime List provides the following description for "High School DxD":

"Issei Hyodo is your average perverted high school student whose one wish in life is to have his own harem, but he's got to be one of the unluckiest guys around. He goes on his first date with a girl only to get brutally attacked and killed when it turns out the girl is really a vicious fallen angel.

To top it all off, he's later reincarnated as a devil by his gorgeous senpai who tells him that she is also a devil and now his master! One thing's for sure, his peaceful days are over. In a battle between devils and angels, who will win?"
